ONGOING NOTICE TO ARCHITECTS & ENGINEERS
REVISED STANDARD ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINEERING
SELECTION PROCESS FOR DESIGN AND ENGINEERING
PROJECTS WITH ESTIMATED A/E FEES OF $25,000 OR LESS,
EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 2008
The Department of General Services is
accepting letters oF interest, on an ongoing basis, for
the revised standard selection process for design projects
with fees of $25,000 or less. The new procedures were
effective October 2008. This process is for the procurement
for Architectural, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
and Mechanical Engineering projects within the stated
fee category. Contracts awarded through this process will
be targeted for award to qualified small Architectural
firms, Civil Engineering firms, Electrical Engineering
firms and Mechanical Engineering firms which are certified
as small businesses through the State’s Small Business
Reserve Program (SBR) and for which the Department of
General Services has verified that the firm meets the
SBR criteria for small businesses in the “service”
category. A firm interested in being considered is to
submit a letter of interest, and required documentation.
